The Handy Candi Can

This morning at 4:30 am I had to say good bye to Mike yet again for another month. He had to go to Fort Bliss, TX to do some training with his battalion. And as some of you may remember I am in the process of redecorating the living room. We ordered a sofa on the 16th of March and it will be delivered next week or so, but I need to get my coffee, end, and TV table situation in order and fast!
Last week I ordered a console table from walmart.com and this table looks nothing like you would imagine from walmart. Today it arrived and of course Mike left the day it arrived so I had to do it all by myself. I ordered it site to store so I had to go to the local "dump" to pick it up.....after about ten minutes of looking they fond it and had me pull around back to load it in my car. Two men put it in my car and one said to my, "Don't you dare try to unload this yourself, it weighs over 150 lbs." I told him I wouldn't.....but how was I going to get it in my house with no one to help I asked myself? Simple unload piece by piece out of the back of my car.
After about a half an hour of unloading pieces and sorting through styrofoam I felt overwhelmed as I looked around the room seeing all I had to assemble.(sorry it is blurry)

With the determination that I would do this today with no help I settled in for the long haul and started assembling at 5:25 pm. After spouts of frustration, cursing, and talking to myself I finished at 6:30 pm.
There is one more drawer that can be put in at the top but I left it out since we are going to be using this as our TV stand and I need a home for the DVD player and satellite receiver. This is the best online purchase I have ever made....there is so much storage and this is a really sturdy piece of furniture. Sturdy enough that you would think this was bought from a furniture store.
So now that I have conquered the 150lb console table I cant wait till my coffee and end tables and couch come next week I will finally have a living room again after 4 months of watching TV in the workout room. Now if only I had someone to carry the big heavy TV out to the living room.....hmmmm
