Our baby has always been a runner by this I mean it runs from anything that touches my belly to try and track it down, like the doppler, ultrasound wand, or hand.
For the time that I have been down here in Alabama with Mike I have been trying unsuccessfully for him to feel the baby. Last night I was lying in bed next to Mike watching a tv when our baby started kicking me pretty hard. I grabbed Mike's hand and placed it on my belly hoping that he would feel the kicks too.
After about 5 minutes of following around the kicks with Mike's hand. I was watching his face to see if he reacted when the baby kicked and suddenly he looked at me and asked, "Was that the baby?!" I responded, "It sure was." I can't describe the feeling of how amazing it was to share such a special moment together.
Today after waking up the baby was kicking pretty hard so I placed my phone on my belly to see if it would move. Sure enough as Mike was watching it, it jumped. Both Mike and I are amazed at how strong our little one is. At 21 weeks I am slightly nervous of how strong those kicks and punches are going to be at 40 weeks. But for now Mike and I are on cloud 9 that we both can feel our baby.
