So beyond MAD!!

So Mike is suppose to leave Fort Bliss, TX tomorrow (Wednesday) morning and be home tomorrow evening after being gone for over a month. Tonight he told me that he will most likely be home Friday due to severe weather moving in to the south east. I watched the weather channel as he was telling me this and sure enough he was right. I added some notes of my own to show you all the long process of trying to get him home. I am so mad because all the Army does is freaking drag their feet and waste time, "Hurry up and wait" as Mike would say. Today they had perfect weather for coming home and since some freaking command decided, no they need to stay for one more day now they are stuck!! And today they had NOTHING to do, as Mike said, "We just burned through 24 hours today to sit here and do nothing."

Now I knew when I married him there would be hard times ahead, but I figured the hard times would be when he is deployed over seas not getting stuck time and time again at training locations! I am tired of not having my husband home. I have to say good bye to him for a year coming up in a few months I want to be able to spend time with him before he is gone.

I don't think it is fair for the Army to claim that the soldiers are home for a solid year before they are deployed again, because it is a lie. Do you know that in that "year" my husband is gone for at least 4 months of it training to leave again. I just want Mike home. It is so hard having no family or close friends around in moments like these, when all I need is hug.
